With the rising cost of energy, money saved from purchasing Energy Star® products can quickly add up. Sprouse Windows & Doors is proud to offer many Energy Star® products that will help keep your house cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter and save on energy bills all year long. Energy Star® is a program created by the U.S Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy to promote environmental protection through energy efficient products and practices. For windows and doors, Energy Star® products must meet specific criteria based on their thermal transmission or U-factor and their Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) in the appropriate climate zones.

National Fenestration Ratings Council

National Fenestration Rating CouncilSprouse Windows are tested and certified to National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) standards. These are the numbers Energy Star® uses to determine how fenestration products, such as windows and doors, meet their standards and the numbers used to categorize the products for the appropriate climate zones. The National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) provides energy performance ratings on windows and doors through an independent testing process so consumers can compare product performance and make informed consumer choices. Ratings vary due to the type of glass used in a window or door and the product’s overall design.
